Ingredients
- For the Cake Layer:
- 1 ready-made sponge cake (or 6-8 cake slices)
- For Jam Soaking:
- 4 tablespoons Golden Crown Mix Fruit Jam
- 6 tablespoons water
- For Fruit Layer:
- 1 can (400g) Golden Crown Fruit Cocktail, drained
- For Custard:
- 3 tablespoons Golden Crown Custard Powder
- 500ml full-fat milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- For Decoration:
- 1 small can Golden Crown Cherries, drained
Instructions
- 01 For custard, mix custard powder with 4 tablespoons cold milk to form a smooth paste.
- 02 Heat the remaining milk with sugar until warm.
- 03 Add the custard paste while whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
- 04 Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy.
- 05 Mix well and allow the custard to cool completely.
- 06 Layer drained Golden Crown fruit cocktail over the soaked cake.
- 07 Pour the cooled custard as the final layer, spreading evenly.
- 08 Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.
- 09 Before serving, arrange Golden Crown cherries decoratively on top.
- 10 Serve chilled.
