Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups
- Sugar – ¼ cup
- Active dry yeast – 1 tbsp
- Warm milk – ¾ cup
- Unsalted butter – 2 tbsp, melted
- Egg – 1 large
- Golden Crown Mango Jam – 1 cup
- Oil – for deep frying
- Powdered sugar or sugar glaze for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- 01Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar, let it activate for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 02In a mixing bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, melted butter, and egg.
- 03Add the activated yeast mixture and knead into a soft, elastic dough. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 04Punch down the dough, roll it out on a floured surface to about ½ inch thickness.
- 05Cut dough into circles using a cutter (about 3-4 inches diameter). Place a small spoonful of Golden Crown Mango Jam in the center of half the circles.
- 06Cover with another dough circle, seal edges gently but securely.
- 07Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (180°C). Fry doughnuts until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Avoid overcrowding.
- 08Drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze if desired.
- 09Serve warm or at room temperature.
