Ingredients
- 250 g Golden Crown Penne Rigate
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Golden Crown Garlic Paste (optional, for stronger flavor)
- 1 can (400 g) Golden Crown Whole Peeled Tomato, chopped or crushed
- 1–2 red chilies (or 1 tsp chili flakes, adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp sugar (to balance acidity)
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
- 10–12 Seville Premium Black Sliced Olives
- Fresh basil leaves or parsley – a handful, chopped
Instructions
- 01Boil water with a pinch of salt and cook Golden Crown Penne Rigate until al dente. Drain, drizzle with a little olive oil, and keep aside.
- 02Heat olive oil in a pan, add chopped onion, and sauté until soft and translucent.
- 03Add garlic paste (if using) and sauté briefly until fragrant.
- 04Stir in crushed Golden Crown Whole Peeled Tomato and cook down for 8–10 minutes until thickened.
- 05Add chili flakes or chopped red chilies, sugar, salt, and pepper; simmer for another 2 minutes.
- 06Toss in the cooked penne pasta and mix well so it’s coated evenly with the sauce.
- 07Add sliced Seville Premium Black Sliced Olives and fresh basil/parsley, mixing gently.
- 08Serve hot, garnished with extra olives, basil, and parmesan if desired.
